What happens when nature, technology and a gallery courtyard come together?

Kryštof Brůha has created a site-specific installation for the courtyard of the Pilsen City Gallery, which will be more than just an exhibited object. Over the coming months, it will respond to its surroundings and gradually transform under the influence of natural processes.

Kryštof Brůha is a Czech transmedia artist and holder of the 2023 Jindřich Chalupecký Award. In his work, he combines generative design, 3D printing, CNC, machine learning and other technologies with natural and ecological processes.

The work was created as part of activities to support previous holders of the Jindřich Chalupecký Award, in collaboration between the Jindřich Chalupecký Society and GAMP, and its realisation was made possible by a grant from the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
