Dominik Adamec (1995) graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in the Sculpture 2 studio under the guidance of Tomáš Hlavina and has been continuing his studies at the Universität der Künste in Berlin since last year. In his work, he focuses on evolutionary philosophy and the interaction of man with nature, with ceramic material playing an important role. His focus is on taxonomies and their disruption, namely by creating his own biological or urban hybrids, for which ambiguity is typical.

His works have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions, for example at the National Gallery in Prague, the Kunsthalle im Lipsiusbau in Dresden or the Raum für Kunst und Natur in Bonn. In 2022, together with garden architect Marek Kratochvíl, he won an open competition for a work of art in Vysočany conceived as a natural sculpture, and in 2023 he led the art and architectural team in the competition to design the Czech pavilion for EXPO 2025 in Japan.
