Daniela Baráčková

Daniela Baráčková (*1981) studied at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague (Studio of Intermedia Art of Jiří David) and the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (Painting Studio II/ Vladimír Skrepl School). In 2007, she went on a study stay at Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. In her projects, she addresses her personal experience, transforming it into symbols and symbolic actions, evoking personal associations in the viewers. She works in various media including action, video, painting and installation, employing various means of expression from social interaction through political performance in public space to diverse interpretations of personal perception of reality. She presented her work at solo exhibitions in Czech gallery institutions, including Karlin Studios and Entrance Gallery in Prague and Young Artists’ Gallery in Brno.
